Şevket has been sailing Laser class sailboats for the past 25 years.

These are mostly adaptations of "ABSOLUT" vodka ad campaigns to an "ABSOLUT LASER" concept. So, none of the work is truly original per se. The only thing I have done is to "paint in" a Laser or sailboat racing somewhere in the images to make some sense out of it - sometimes humorous, sometimes not.

"AQUARIUS" is a montage, and shows me on a huge wave. The number "134145" is actually my sail number, uniquely identifying my boat.

"ABSOLUT ILLUSION" shows a Laser race. This image is used on the opening page of the "Laser Artistry" section of my site.

"ABSOLUT KASTEN" is a simple transformation of a painting by Kasten into "Absolut Laser"

GS-shire3.jpg "ABSOLUT SHIRE" is an adaptation of a painting by Shire to reflect the festive mood we feel when sailing a Laser, how it takes us to another world away from the problems of civilization.

"ABSOLUT WEBER" is an adaptation of a cartoon by Weber to the Laser. The Laser, a 1971 design boat, is still strong today. The only design fault we complain about is the shape of its rudder (the "appendage" referred to in the cartoon).
